Jaw Implant & Chin Implant

Jaw implants and chin implants are two different types of facial implants used to enhance the appearance of the face. Jaw implants are used to increase the width of the lower jaw, while chin implants are used to increase the projection of the chin. Both types of implants are made of a synthetic material such as silicone or Medpor and are inserted through an incision under the chin. The implants are then secured in place with sutures and the incision is closed. The procedure is usually performed under general anesthesia and takes about an hour.
